Although it's been out for quite some time, I just started the second season of Kuroko's Basketball! Kuroko's Basketball was the first sports anime I've watched. I loved the first season and even started reading the manga where it left off. I no longer follow the manga though.
The second season has an interesting start - introducing new characters. The opening is amazing. The animation is superb, it makes basketball looks so cool and awesome! (even to an unathletic person like me)
This manga is by Haruta Nana, and I am quite familiar with her works. But what caught me off guard was....WHY?! This manga is quite new, so why are they already deciding on a manga adaptation? Well, on the plus side, this manga is pretty good. It's sort of cliche and not a "OMG I MUST READ MORE" type of manga right now. I hope the manga gets more interesting! I like the main guy character, Aki.
AHHHHH!!! YES! MY SEXY ANIME BOYS ARE BACK WITH A SEASON TWO! The sexy swimming anime of 2013 has been confirmed for a second season. The timing of the broadcast has not been confirmed. But I'm guessing summer of 2014?! See you next water time!
Summary: Sakamichi Onada is a wimpy high school freshman who loves anime. He initially wants to enter the anime club, but winds up joining the cycling club after meeting two classmates who are already famous cyclists. He undertakes the grueling training to compete in races, and discovers his own hidden talent in cycling.
My Impression: This. is. so. good. This is my third sports anime. The main character is an otaku and socially awkward. I feel like I can connect with him. I can't stop laughing and smiling - it's funny as well! I watched five episodes, then I decided the check out the manga. It's so crazy. I'm all caught up within two days. I read 80 manga chapters in two days! It's that good! I recommend this anime.
